To manage an IT project, you can use the 3 views What, When and Who of the project which will allow you to approach your organization from 3 points of view.
Create a task list for each step of the process. For example: Launch, Design, Setup, Testing, and Startup.
Within each list, divide the work to be done by creating tasks. Remember to add details by clicking on the task: priority, comments, attachments, deadlines, reminders, milestones, team members assigned to the task, etc.
Move your tasks from one list to another with simple drag and drop.
In this view, visualize all your project tasks as a Gantt chart (cascading) and easily adjust your entire schedule. You can choose a chronological or task list view to match the process established in the What view.
You can move a task, shorten or lengthen its duration. To indicate a sequence of actions, create links between tasks.
Clicking on a task displays its detailed information. You can then add or modify its duration, dates, and times. With the reminder function, you can set up a notification to ensure you don’t forget anything. By checking the “milestone” box, you indicate that this task is an important step in your project and that related tasks cannot overlap with it.
Access your team’s schedule. With the filters, you can view the task allocation for a specific member. This allows you to optimize the workload for that member and ensure the smooth progress of your IT project.
It is perfectly possible to plan your project as a whole and assign tasks to team members without giving them access to the project in progress. Once the project is complete, you can change the access rights of your team members in the project settings.
