What is the difference between Beesbusy and other tools, such as Trello or Asana?
At CES, we met professionals from very different sectors, but with one thing in common: the need to find tools to better organize their activities.
They are therefore looking for (or already using) task and project management solutions.
Upon discovering Beesbusy, these professionals naturally asked us how our tool differed from those already on the market.
“Why choose Beesbusy over Trello or Asana?”
We have therefore chosen to give you a summary of the points that we were able to discuss with them.
Visualizing your projects
Trello offers visualization in the form of Kanban boards (or task lists), while Beesbusy and Asana integrate different visualization methods.
Beesbusy includes three views per project: What (task lists – Kanban board), When (timeline – Gantt chart), and Who (team schedule).
With Trello, visualizing tasks over time is not possible, which hinders planning, and Asana does not include a Gantt chart.

To visualize all your projects, Beesbusy also offers access to three customizable multi-project views using filters, providing an overview of all ongoing activities. In this view, tasks can be modified and moved, and you can see the impact in real time.
Notifications
With Trello and Asana, you’re automatically notified when there are changes to a project. This can quickly lead to a flood of notifications.
With Beesbusy, notifications (Buzz) are user-generated, letting you know they’re relevant to important items. Changes to a project are indicated by a color change, so project members are notified as soon as they access the project.
Professional and personal projects
Trello is primarily designed for task management, allowing users to organize both professional and personal activities. With its advanced features, Asana is geared more towards professional use.

With Beesbusy, the concept of professional/personal use is clearly integrated into the interface. You choose whether a project falls into the professional or personal category right from the start. This allows you to easily organize all your activities and get a clear overview of your daily life.
Furthermore, this distinction allows the features to be tailored to the user’s needs: certain advanced features useful for a professional project are not available in a personal project because they are unnecessary.
Collaboration
Asana doesn’t allow you to assign a task to more than one collaborator, while Trello and Beesbusy allow you to assign multiple people.
With Beesbusy, you can also assign actions, which allows you to break down the work to be done or specify concrete steps to be taken.
Complex projects
As mentioned above, when it comes to managing projects requiring time-based planning, Trello isn’t the right tool.
Asana is designed for this type of project, but it includes many customizable features.
With Beesbusy, even more complex projects remain easy to plan without any configuration.
Skills
Trello and Asana are designed as tools for people ranging from novices to experts in project management, which is reflected in their clean design. Beesbusy’s approach is to implement a user experience that helps people get better organized.
- Creating a project requires no configuration, and the user can start working immediately.
- Priority tasks are limited to two per task list, allowing you to focus on what matters most.
- Badges and statistics help you analyze and optimize your organization.
- The concept of work/life balance is integrated into the tool, because daily life isn’t limited to work.

In summary
Trello:
This is a task management tool. Trello allows you to manage urgent tasks and focus on the actions to be taken. Trello does not allow you to plan a project over time. Therefore, this tool does not provide an overview of project resources.
The additional features offered by Trello (Power-Ups) are not natively integrated into the application, so the result is not identical to built-in features.
Asana:
Designed for managing complex projects, Asana is primarily aimed at businesses. This tool doesn’t integrate the user’s professional/personal life. Highly customizable, it requires configuration.
Beesbusy:
Beesbusy combines the best of Trello (simplicity, task management) and Asana (advanced features for managing complex team projects).
However, the major difference lies in the approach to user experience. With Beesbusy, advanced features can be used for complex projects, but they don’t disrupt the organization of simpler projects.

Beesbusy is a customizable tool, which allows it to adapt to various projects and activities (business projects, support functions, personal activities), while offering the user a structure to work with so as not to have tedious configuration and thus gain in efficiency.
This means that if you want to find a tool to implement in your team, Beesbusy will allow you to easily gain the support of your employees, regardless of their level of expertise in project management.
