Chapter 1: Our feedback

Hello, this is Maëlle reporting in. I’m the Marketing and Communications Manager at Beesbusy, and I wanted to share my travel diary with you.

From January 8th to 11th, part of the Beesbusy team went to Las Vegas for CES (Consumer Electronics Show). I’m eager to share our insights from this incredible experience.

Welcome to this first chapter of our CES 2019 adventure! Here you’ll find an overview of the lessons learned at CES for Beesbusy.

First, a brief explanation: “What is CES?”

This is an international event dedicated to technological innovation in electronics for the general public.

Hall d'exposition du CES à Las Vegas

The first edition took place in 1967 in New York and initially showcased televisions and radios. Since then, CES has moved to Las Vegas, technologies have changed, and above all, the show has grown significantly. Today, it brings together more than 4,500 exhibitors, 250 conferences, and 180,000 visitors from 150 different countries.

Many companies take advantage of this event to present innovations that will later find their way into consumer markets. This was the case, for example, with the DVD in 1996.

CES is organized into three hubs, encompassing 11 exhibition areas, each dedicated to a specific industry sector.

During CES, our booth was located in Eureka Park, the exhibition hall dedicated to startups. France was very well represented, with more than 400 startups present, supported in particular by French Tech.

Why go to CES?

For Beesbusy, participating in CES served several purposes:

  • To get feedback on our tool from a panel of international visitors interested in innovation.
  • To identify the uses and needs of international users in the field of project organization and management.
  • To generate new opportunities: clients, partnerships, funding, etc.

What kind of reception Beesbusy has received?

We presented Beesbusy to many visitors and received their feedback on our tool. Here are the elements that caught their attention:

The design

Our design was deemed polished, efficient, and appealing. Visitors appreciated the clean look enhanced with touches of color, which promotes focus and helps organize thoughts.
Design specialists told us they appreciated the work done and the overall harmony of Beesbusy.

Features

We had a visit from engineers and specialists who were impressed by our advanced features, such as the multi-project view and the integration of work schedules within a project.
Experienced project managers appreciated being able to visualize their projects in different formats with a single tool: task lists, Gantt charts, and team schedules.
The collaborative features for commenting and sending Buzz messages were also considered relevant and well-designed.

Ergonomics

Visitors appreciated being able to start organizing their projects and creating tasks immediately, without having to configure the tool. They found the navigation intuitive and enjoyed easy access to the various features.

Adaptability

Beesbusy’s flexibility was also highly valued. We met with professionals from a variety of sectors, and all were able to envision themselves organizing projects according to their needs: customer follow-up, marketing plans, weekly to-do lists, remote team management, design, production, and more.

Overall, Beesbusy was very well received. In an environment of innovative startups, the sophistication of our tool was widely praised.

What is the assessment?

In a short period of time, we were able to meet a significant number of people with diverse backgrounds, all available and open to discussion. These contacts are invaluable, and we will be able to continue the conversation in the coming weeks.

For Beesbusy, this event was also an opportunity to strengthen the bonds within our team, both during the weeks of preparation and at the show itself.

We are very proud of the positive feedback from our visitors, which recognizes all the hard work the Beesbusy team has put in over time. We also felt a renewed sense of dynamism upon returning from CES: we have even more ideas for the future.

So, I’ll close this first chapter of CES 2019 here, and I’ll see you very soon for the next installment! You’ll discover how Beesbusy can compete with other players in the market.

In the meantime, feel free to try out Beesbusy’s features for yourself!
